RFP Message types functionality

Modified on Mon, 28 Feb, 2022 at 12:53 PM

This article provides information about the functionality of the Message Type on the RFP screen.

Overview

ORDER - The RFP does not have the basic information sufficient to allow inspection, but the user has requested either an RFP number to be reserved by EXDOC or an EDN number to be allocated by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.

Note: RFPs of this status are not accepted by the Plant Export Operations for the purpose of inspection or notification of intention to export. Users are allowed to amend any details at this stage of an RFP and submit as many times as the “ORDER” message.

LODGE – A lodge message is submitted when the RFP has basic information sufficient to allow inspection. The product is fully described for inspection purposes; however, some details may not be present. This will bring the RFP status to INIT OR FINL status.

Note:  If the previous RFP status was at ORDR status and the RFP is Lodged and is Rejected, kindly check the Response, fix the error, and LODGE the message again to Receive the RFP at INIT OR FINL status.

AMEND – Any information that needs to be changed or added after the RFP is received at INIT/FINL status requires to be submitted with a "Amend" message.

DELETE – If an RFP has been raised but due to some reason the RFP will not be used then the EDI owner needs to submit a Delete message to the RFP so that EXDOC can remove the RFP from the System and could not be used anywhere.

Note: Once the RFP is Delete it cannot be amended or used anywhere.

COPY – To bring back the last saved data from the EXDOC system this message type is used.

TRANSFER – To change the EDI Owner and Exporter of an RFP a transfer message is used. For detailed information for this functionality please check the link below:
