You have the option of Autogenerate a number for your next Shipment.
Steps
Go to Setting
Click in configuration.
Once you click in configuration the below screen will appear, select the tab "General" select you Prefix, Suffix, Characters, Shipment Separator and you start Shipment number, in case you are already using a correlative number, and save the changes.
You can also activate the option, Shipment number same as sales order number in case if's needed to replace the Auto Generate No.
