You have the option of Autogenerate a number for your next Profoma.
Steps
Go to Setting
Go to Sales and then configuration
Once you click in configuration the below screen will appear, select the tab "Proforma No" select you Prefix, Suffix, Characters and you start Proforma number, in case you are already using a correlative number, and save the changes.
