If the user chooses not to proceed with the REX and wants to delete it from the NEXDOC database, then based on the current status of the REX, submit a Withdraw or Cancel message.
REX status - INSP/CTRD/COMP then select Message Type "Cancel" on REX Header and then Submit the REX.
The message will be sent to NEXDOC to delete the REX from their database
Note: The cancel REX service does not apply the cancellation straight away – it must be approved by a departmental officer first. Once the cancel request is approved the status of the REX will be updated to CANC.
Please note: Cancelling a REX does not cancel the EDN from ICS. If you wish to also cancel the EDN then this must be performed using the message type: Cancel REX EDN alternatively you can use the Transfer REX EDN service and can use it on any new REX.
