This article contains information about how to change the status of a Sales Order using two different methods.

Overview
The Sales screen allows an authorized user to change the status of a sales order using two different ways:
- From the Sales screen
Using this method, a user can change the status of a sales order directly from the Sales screen. - From the Edit Sales Order screen
Using this method, a user can open a sales order in editable mode and change the status then save the sales order.
Procedure
- In the menu bar, click Sales.
It opens the Sales screen. - Use any of the following methods to change the status of a sales order:
- From the Sales screen:
- Under the Order Status column, hover over a status and click the Edit icon as it appears.
It opens the Edit Status dialog box. - Select a status from the Order Status list.
- Click Save.
A success message is displayed.
- Under the Order Status column, hover over a status and click the Edit icon as it appears.
- From the Edit Sales Order screen:
- Under the Action column, click the Edit icon.
It opens the Edit Sales Order screen. - Select an appropriate status from the given options highlighted in the above image.
The selected status is shown in the blue color whereas on hovering over it is shown in green color. - Click Save.
A success message is displayed. - Click Exit.
It redirects to the Sales screen and displays the updated status of the sales order.
- Under the Action column, click the Edit icon.
- From the Sales screen:
Result
The status of the sales order is updated on the Sales screen.
