Once the onboarding process for COSCO and OOCL shipping line is completed and the required connections are successfully set up, ImpexDocs will complete the necessary configuration in the system and users will observe minor changes on the e-Forwarding Instructions screen when shipping line in the booking is COSCO or OOCL.
Changes on E-FI screen:
1-Change in allowed number of characters for Name and Address:
NAME – 100 characters are allowed.
ADDRESS LINE 1: Max 50 characters are allowed.
ADDRESS LINE 2: Max 50 characters are allowed.
ADDRESS LINE 3: Max 25 characters are allowed.
ADDRESS LINE 4: Max 9 characters are allowed.
ADDRESS LINE 5: Max 10 characters are allowed.
CONTACT NAME: Max 50 characters are allowed.
TELEPHONE NO.: Max 20 characters are allowed.
EMAIL: Max 60 characters are allowed.
TAX ID: Max 35 characters are allowed.
Incase of COSCO & OOCL shipping line:
2- Additional field added as per COSCO and OOCL requirement:
a) Country of the Shipper, Consignee or Notify party has to be entered in specific field along with the code as shown below.
**Note: If you provide country in any of the address lines as well as in country field, you might see repeated information on the bill of lading.
b) if TAX ID provided, additional field will be used to indicate type as shown below. As an example: ABN, ACN, GST, IEC, TAX, TIN, BIN etc.
Additional mandatory field:
1- Product code for each product must be provided. It can be any random product code if you do not maintain product master.
2- Date of issue must be provided.
Status:
When the status of the E-FI changes to "EFI REQUESTED" that means request has been submitted to carrier.
